At Sawadi, water is considered as a rare resource that absolutely must be preserved. Even though the domain is well supplied by two wells (the water nap is only 9m deep), the old tree plantations irrigation (olive trees, palm trees, almond trees, etc.) is done frugally and at selected times of the day.
This year, we are trying a new method to irrigate our vegetables. A buried porous pot slowly spread the wtaer it contains. This approach seems to be more efficient than the dripping.
