La palmeraie de SkouraSawadi est située dans la palmeraie de Skoura dont la superficie couvre plus de 50 km2. Ses palmiers sont si réputés qu'ils ornent de luxueuses villas à Marrakech ou Rabat. Randonnée à Sidi FlahSidi Flah est un charmant petit village, en bordure de l'oued Dadès, isolé à une quinzaine de kilomètres de piste de Sawadi. Vallée des RosesLa Vallée des Roses débute vers Kelaa M'Gouna et s'étend le long de l'oued Mgoun sur plusieurs kilomètres avant les gorges du Dadès. Vallée des AmandiersLa Vallée des Amandiers débute à quelques kilomètres au Nord de Sawadi dans la petite ville de Toundoute où l'on se rend par une route goudronnée ou une piste si Désert de M'HamidAprès être passé par Ouarzazate, nous descendons vers Zagora par la superbe vallée du Draa avec ses kasbahs et ses villages sublimes.
For the excursions around Sawadi and Skoura described below, we show suggested budgets for two or four persons that include a local guide, the riding animals (mules, horses, camels, etc and if indicated, the meals and the lodging outside Sawadi).
Car rental, either 4x4 or regular two-wheel drive or the needed fuel are not included. Guest can certainly use their own vehicles if they already have one. As a guideline, rental of a standard car like a Fiat Paleo that seats 5 people costs around 450 dirham per day and for a 4x4 that can accommodate 6 persons the cost is about 1,500 dirham per day. The selection and availability of rental cars vary considerably during the year depending on the season. It is always prudent to reserve a vehicle in advance. As a reference, the current exchange rate is 11 dirham = 1 euro.
IMPORTANT : We at Sawadi can keep under supervision children of parents who wish to do so during their excursion (one day maximum). The children will be entertained with parlor games, donkey back rides within the confines of the estate, pool games, playground activities (mini-golf, volleyball, basketball, lawn bowling, fronton).

A one-day excursion through the Koura palm grove that covers an area of 50 km2 and where Sawadi is located, can be done on foot, bicycle, standard car, mule or horse back. The palm trees from the grove are quite well known in Morocco and they have planted at luxury villa in Marrakech or Rabat. The palm grove is an amazing place crisscrossed by paths and small roads running in the shade of the palm trees and winding their way along fields that go from small village to small village. Protected by the palm trees grow many varieties of fruit trees (olive, apple , fig, almond ) which in turn, provide additional shade to vegetables, corn, wheat, and animal fodder. On the way one may also come across sheep, goats cows and chickens.

One-day excursion on foot or riding a mule to reach the charming small village of Sidi Flah located at the edge of the Dades stream at about 15 km of track road from Sawadi. The excursion leaves Sawadi by motorcar in the morning to meet the mule drivers waiting on the banks of the Dades stream at the Sidi Flah bridge (about 10 km of secondary road from Skoura). |

Although it would be possible to make it in a standard car, we recommend using a 4x4 vehicle for this one-day excursion. The Valley of Roses begins around Kelaa M’Gouna ant it runs along the Mgoun creek for various kilometres. It is in this valley that roses are harvested around mid May to obtain rose water and other beauty products based on the essence this flower. |

It is essential to use a 4WD (4X4) vehicle for this one-day trip. The Valley of the Almond Trees starts at the small village of Toundoute a few kilometres to the North of Sawadi ; The trip to this village can be done by a secondary but tarred road or along an off track trail if one prefers. From Toundoute the trip is along a rough mountain trail that leads after about 30 kilometres to the village of Amezri located at approximately 2,300 m of altitude. From this last village, the excursion continues on foot to be able to enjoy and appreciate the harsh beauty of this small and perfumed paradise. |

This two-day excursion can be done on a standard car but a 4WD (4x4) is recommended. Starting at Ouarzazate one descends towards Zagora along the beautiful Draa valley wit its gorgeous Kasbahs and villages. Continuing south along the Draa valley, one reaches Ouled Driss a few kilometres before reaching M’Hamid with its lush palm grove surrounded by stone and sand. |

A specially equipped room can accommodate groups wishing to reside several working days. Built in the middle of the grove, it is isolated from the rest of the field to facilitate the merger participants. Video equipment, tables and chairs work, are available to participants.
A small kitchen dedicated to this room provides access to refreshments, hot drinks and snacks on demand. This room has two large terraces, one above the building with a magifique overlooking the park, and Atlas, another level of the room is inside the groves.
This situation is a particularly valued by management committees, groups of staff development, but also family celebrations. In these cases, Sawadi can be booked for these events, even if the group is less than the capacity of Sawadi.
This multi-purpose room accommodates groups for work sitting 25 to 30 people, it has a size of 6m by 8m. In this context, several other pieces can also be made available for sub-group discussions.
Small excursions in the palm are proposed in order to alternate sessions and disorientation. Rates are reviewed on a case by case basis. Besides the provision of facilities, they include lodging, meals, coffee breaks, refreshments, and other special services. The exclusive domain of Sawada may be granted to the company wishes. |
